Missing UGA student Lei Wang found dead in Athens

A University of Georgia student who went missing Monday was found dead near College Station Road in Athens, according to the Athens Banner-Herald.

Lei Wang, 35, was found dead about 4 p.m. near an area river, police said in an alert emailed to university faculty and students Tuesday evening.

Police said there was no indication of foul play, according to the email.

Wang, an inteational student, was last seen Monday afteoon at the Veterinary School on Brooks Drive, the Banner-Herald reported.

Police said Wang did not have a car and and was likely traveling by foot.
