A photograph showing Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk at a dinner attended by Jeffrey Epstein has resurfaced, years after Epstein’s 2008 conviction for child sex offences.

The image was emailed by Epstein to himself on August 3, 2015, one day after he bragged in private messages about attending what he described as a “wild” dinner with several high-profile technology executives in California.

In an email sent on August 2, 2015, Epstein told author Peter Attia that he was planning to have dinner with Musk, Zuckerberg, Peter Thiel, and others. Attia replied that it “sounds like an awesome dinner.”

Weeks later, Epstein confirmed the dinner took place in an email to businessman Tom Pritzker, writing: “I had dinner with Zuckerberg, Musk, Thiel, Hoffman. Wild.”

The photograph shows Zuckerberg and Musk seated at a dinner table with several other guests. It does not indicate who organized the event or what was discussed.

Musk has previously said he declined invitations to visit Epstein’s private island in the U.S. Virgin Islands. However, recently released documents show that Musk and Epstein exchanged cordial messages over several years, including messages in which Musk asked about parties and potential visits to the island.

Responding to the release of those messages, Musk said they were being taken out of context and used to “smear” his reputation. He added that individuals who committed crimes with Epstein should be prosecuted.

Separately, emails show that Zuckerberg’s chief of staff acknowledged attending a group dinner in Palo Alto in 2015 that was hosted by Reid Hoffman and attended by Epstein. A spokesperson said Zuckerberg himself was not aware of Epstein’s presence at the time.

There is no evidence that Zuckerberg or Musk engaged in any wrongdoing. Legal experts have noted that meeting with Epstein, on its own, does not imply criminal behavior.

The resurfaced emails and photographs are part of a broader release of documents that have renewed scrutiny of Epstein’s social connections following his conviction.
