Marietta Police post hilarious note to accused shoplifter Dale Tice
A Georgia police department left a hilarious note for one shoplifter, who left behind all his personal information before allegedly stealing from a pawn shop.
The Marietta Police Evening Watch were less than impressed when they realized their alleged criminal had done their job for them.
'A request to the gentleman who shoplifted from one of our local pawn shops today,' the Facebook note begins.
'Sir, you must have forgot that you gave the clerk your driver's license with ALL of your personal information as well as your providing him with your fingerprint...before you stole from him which, by the way, was also all on camera.'
'Please at least try to hide it,' the note continues. 'The judge has already signed the warrant.'
'When you make it this easy it takes all the fun out of chasing bad guys!'
It has since been revealed that the alleged shoplifter is Dale Jonathan Tice, 32, who was arrested on Tuesday, according to the Atlanta Joual-Constitution.
Tice allegedly stole a $200 military-style knife from the counter of The Hock Shop around 4.30pm on Monday.
The shop's surveillance video captured Tice entering the store to pawn a $5 ratchet before swiping the knife, the police report states.

The Marietta Police Evening Watch wrote a hilarious Facebook post revealing Tice had given all his personal information to the shop before allegedly stealing the knife

Tice was arrested just 10 hours later. The Marietta Police Department posted a second update to poke fun at just how easy it had been to find him
In addition to his driver's license information and fingerprint, which are required with any pawn shop purchase, Tice also gave the clerk his phone number.
Tice was arrested just 10 hours later. The Marietta Police Department posted a second update to poke fun at just how easy it had been to find him.
'Fortunately (for us) he tued out to be just as bad at hide & seek as he is at stealing,' the post began.
'He was picked up by our Moing Watch Officers after a search, it was quite short.'
'We also found all of his drugs and the stolen property he took from the pawn shop!'
Tice was arrested around 2am at the White Columns Inn on Cobb Parkway, where officers also found marijuana and assorted illegal pills, the warrant states.
He has been charged with five drug charges as well as his original misdemeanor shoplifting charge.
Tice is currently being held at the Cobb County Adult Detention Center.
