MARTA officials tell GA Daily News they had to suspend service at the Lindbergh station after a man was struck and killed by a MARTA train Monday night.

Officials said it happened just before 8 p.m.

MARTA said it's providing bus service to rail customers trailing between Lindbergh, Arts Center Station, Buckhead and Lenox stations.

Police are currently trying to figure out why the man was on the tracks to begin with.   Investigators said they do not have an ID on the man at this point.

Service along the MARTA train line was initially shut down while police investigated, it has since reopened.
