Rescuers in DeKalb County saved a county watershed worker who became trapped in a trench in Lithonia on Friday afteoon.
It happened along Big Branch Court near Phillips Road. Officials say the trench is 8 feet deep in the point where the collapse occurred.
The worker who was trapped was alert, conscious and uninjured according to rescuers. He was pulled from the trench in the noon hour. There's no word on what led to the accident.
