Man killed in Gwinnett double shooting

A man was killed in a shooting that also left another person wounded Tuesday moing.

The shooting happened on Pucketts Drive in unincorporated Lilbu around 6:45 a.m. Responding Gwinnett County police officers found a man and a woman shot, and both were taken to Gwinnett Medical Center, Gwinnett police said.

The person who called police reported the shooting, but then hung up without providing further details.

Police said both victims went to the hospital in critical condition, but the man succumbed to his injuries.

Channel 2’s Kerry Kavanaugh went to the scene, where officers were gathering evidence and interviewing witnesses. Police have identified a shooting suspect but have not released a name. The victim’s name is also being withheld while police notify family members.
