Shane Collett: Man charged with murder of Spalding Co. girl due in court
A man charged with murdering his young neighbor is expected back in court on Thursday.
Prosecutors say 40-year-old Shane Collett killed 9-year-old Skylar Dials on December 21 in Spalding County. Dials was reported missing a day earlier.
Dials was found dead in a wooded area several hundred yards from her home, according to officials. Investigators are still waiting for the results of her autopsy.
Collett is being held in the Spalding County Jail.
