Lacrosse Player Wears Blackface On Official Duke Website

Someone behind the controls at the Duke athletics department website wasn't on the ball. The university's GoDuke.com website briefly (but prominently) posted a picture on its homepage showing a female lacrosse player in blackface, ostensibly in a Halloween costume as Buckwheat from "The Little Rascals." While we ponder over the number of people who must have seen the player in blackface (identified as junior Taylor Virden in the post) and failed to usher her immediately to the bathroom to wash it off, we note that the shot was allegedly taken at the home of her coach — who's allegedly an adult and definitely should have known better.
