KENNESAW, Ga. - A woman has been charged in the death of an infant who police say was left inside a car for hours. Jennifer Peacock, 21, is charged with involuntary manslaughter and second-degree cruelty to children.

Police say the Ivey Hall Day School employee brought her 5-month-old cousin to the daycare last week. They say she apparently didn’t remember the baby was in the car until five hours later.

Emergency workers tried to save the infant, but their efforts were unsuccessful.
