Judith McGraw : Woman, 70, Mugged Outside Her Lilburn, Ga. Business
A 70-year-old Lilbu woman is recovering after she was attacked outside her auto body shop, and police say her attacker was another woman. Surveillance video captured the attack, which happened as the victim was retuing from a trip to the bank.
Judith McGraw has owned the body shop for many years. She told Georgia Newsday she was ambushed by a young woman as she retued from the bank with several thousand dollars in cash. Police believe the woman may have been targeted.
McGraw says she’s going public with her story in hopes it will lead police to the woman who attacked her. She says she suffered two broken ribs and bruises in the attack, which happened last Friday moing.
According to McGraw, she had just gotten out of her car after retuing from the bank when she was slammed into a white car that was parked next to hers. She said she had just made a deposit and withdrawn cash for her employees, and was carrying several thousand dollars.
McGraw told Georgia Newsday she was surprised the attacker was a woman, and that she was as strong as she was because ”she didn’t seem that much bigger than me.
Police say the woman who attacked McGraw was wearing pink shorts and was in her 20s. They believe the suspect followed McGraw from the bank to her auto body shop.
After the attack, police say the woman got into a silver Pontiac Grand Am with two men in front. Several employees and neighbors tried to stop them, but they weren’t able to keep them from getting away.
McGraw says she hopes speaking out will help police find the person who did this.
”She didn’t ea the money, she told Georgia Newsday ”She doesn’t deserve the money.
