Jonesboro man James Perry shoots son during domestic dispute

A father shot his son to death during a domestic dispute at their home in Clayton County Thursday night.

The shooting happened around 9:20 p.m. at the home on the 400 block of Whaleys Lake Drive in Jonesboro.

According to police, the domestic dispute tued physical and 51 year-old James Perry allegedly shot his son, 23 year-old Akeem Perry.

Perry was taken in custody and is being charged with malice murder.
