SAVANNAH, Ga. — A Savannah jewelry store owner is recovering from injuries after a car smashed into the business, plowed through two jewelry showcases and into the owner's office.

The Savannah Moing News reports (http://bit.ly/TrFKo4) that store owner Marion Harkleroad suffered injuries from the impact of his desk and other objects hitting him.

Authorities say the owner's 18-month-old son, Gray Harkleroad, was thrown three feet and landed safely out of the broken glass and debris and was unharmed. Marion Harkleroad said it's "a Christmas miracle" that his young son was not killed. Two employees were also within feet of being seriously hurt.

The accident happened Saturday at Harkleroad Diamonds & Fine Jewelry. Authorities say a customer coming in to pick up her jewelry accidentally crashed her car into the store.
