Jacob Halbrooks ID'd as victim in fatal hit-and-run in Atlanta
ATLANTA -- A man was killed in a hit-and-run crash on the downtown connector early Sunday moing.
The medical examiner's office identified the victim as Jacob Halbrooks, 23, of Covington.
Atlanta police said a Dually pickup truck crashed into the man on the connector near the exit for Martin Luther King Jr. Drive.
Police blocked part of the southbound lanes during the investigation.
The victim died at the scene.
