Husband Sought After Wife Kathy Robertson Killed In Cobb Fire
COBB COUNTY, Ga. -- Police want to question a Cobb County man, after his wife was killed in a house fire early Monday moing.
Investigators told GA Daily News reporter GA Daily News that they are also looking for the victim's car.
Authorities said the fire started just after 3 a.m. at a home on Ponderosa Lane in Powder Springs. The victim was found in back bedroom, officials said.
"I went to the door of each house on either side and told them there was a fire and said, 'Get out of the house,'" said Dennis Mayton, who lives in the neighborhood.
Police later identified the victim as 55-year-old Kathy Robertson. Officers said they are looking for her husband, Michael Rowe.
"Mr. Rowe was living at the residence and may be occupying a green Ford Taurus," said Powder Springs police spokeswoman Kathryn Raines.
Police were looking for a 1995 green Ford Taurus with license plate No. 356 ZMR.
Rowe's sister, Gina Garmin, told Jones that Robertson is her brother's wife and said Robertson's last name is also Rowe.
As for her brother's whereabouts, Garmin said she didn't know.
The cause of the fire was under investigation. Authorities initially told Channel 2 that the wife was wanted for questioning, but they later said she died in the fire.
