Hundreds attend funeral for family killed in Fla. crash
Hundreds attended a funeral for a metro Atlanta family killed in a deadly interstate crash in Florida.
A procession of five hearses stopped briefly at the small Marietta church founded by Jose Carmo Jr. Carmo, his wife, Adrianna, and their daughter, Leticia, died in the Jan. 29 interstate pileup that killed 11 people total. Also killed were Carmo's brother, Edson, and his brother's girlfriend, Rose.

Leticia and Lidiane Carmo
”They loved this church, they loved the people, they loved to be all the days in your house Lord, said Pastor Arao Amazonas
Leticia attended Sprayberry High School with younger sister Lidiane, 15, who was the only survivor of the horrific wreck. Lidiane is still hospitalized in Florida.
”Everybody at school pretty much didn't want to show up. We went through two periods and we came out here to support them, a student told Channel 2’s Ross Cavitt.
The school and community donated more than $50,000 for the service. The five family members will be buried in Brazil.
Family friend Mileide Marquez says this tragedy was an eye-opener for her, and it should be for others.
”I can't believe they're gone, the whole family's gone. Any moment we can be gone, so we have to live by example like they did and hopefully when it is our time to go away, and for God to take us away, we can be ready like they were, she said.
