PEACHTREE CITY, GA   - Firefighters say a fire ripped through a Peachtree City home Thursday afteoon causing more than 70 percent damage.

The fire which authorities believe started around 5:30 p.m. at the home on the 300 block of Vendella Circle and fire crews say the flames and billowing smoke could be seen for miles.

The home is believed to be a complete loss and no injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
