Alpharetta police say they have arrested a Riverdale man on felony fraud charges after he stole credit card information from a customer at the hotel where he worked, then booked a luxury hotel in New York City and chronicled the entire trip on Facebook.

According to the incident report, the victim noticed hundreds of dollars in fraudulent charges at a Hilton in New York and contacted the Garden Inn in Alpharetta where he’d recently put up visiting relatives.

The report said the hotel immediately fired Gissentanner after the allegations were made.

Gissentanner told detectives he captured the credit card information off a patron. He then went on vacation and used that patron’s credit card information to rent his own hotel in New York City. He knew he’d done something wrong and that it was the first time he’d done it.

Videos on Patrick Gissentanner’s Facebook page show him strolling through Manhattan, drinking champagne out of a bottle and ordering room service in a luxury hotel room.

”He forged documentation from his current employer so that he could get an employee discount while in New York City, said Gordon.

Police said the 22-year-old messed up by making the hotel reservations in his own name and by posting the videos on Facebook and Snapchat.
