Horror at Bed, Bath & Beyond as female shopper Kerri Dalton is stabbed in chest a DOZEN times by stranger
A woman was brutally stabbed in the chest more than a dozen times while shopping with her infant child at a Bed, Bath & Beyond.
Reports say authorities are holding 19-year-old Tyrik Haynes in connection with the Thursday evening attack in Middletown, New Jersey.
Haynes allegedly rushed upon Kerri Dalton with no waing as she pushed her son's stroller through the store and he's accused of then stabbing Dalton repeatedly in the chest, puncturing both her lungs. He is now charged with attempted murder.
Dalton experienced significant blood loss and was airlifted from the Middletown store to Jersey Shore Medical Center where she was stabilized, according to CBS News.

As of Thursday night, she remained listed in critical condition.
Thankfully, her young son was uninjured in the attack and is being tended to by other family members as his mother is treated for her injuries.
Meanwhile, alleged attacker Haynes is being held on $1 million bail.
And it tus out this isn't his first brush with the law.

Though there is no apparent connection between Dalton and Haynes, Haynes may have gotten himself into trouble in that same shopping plaza before.
Back in December, Haynes was charged with animal cruelty for setting a cat on fire on Christmas Eve and some authorities believe, though reports are conflicting, that Haynes purchased at least one of the two cats he had in his possession upon his arrest at a Petco store adjacent to the Bed, Bath, & Beyond.
Reports say Haynes used an aerosole accelerant to bu the cat and its carrier.
When a hole melted completely through the carrier, the cat apparently managed to escape into the woods while still aflame. It was never recovered, though the second cat was rescued unharmed.
Prior to his arrests, Haynes was known to frequent the local Petco and stare at cats and it is believed he'd been lurking around the Bed, Bath & Beyond for some time before the stabbing took place.
