Home Invasion leaves woman Stacy West dead, husband hurt in Henry County

Police are investigating an early moing home invasion that left a woman dead and her husband in the hospital.

It happened just before 2:30 a.m. Sunday in the 600 block of Sowell Road near McDonough. A spokesperson for the Henry County Police Department said that a man and woman broke into the home in an apparent robbery.

The pair got into a struggle with the homeowners and a shot was fired. Stacy West, 42, was killed as a result. Her husband was transported to an area hospital for his injuries.

Police are still searching for the suspects. Anyone with information is asked to call the Henry County Police Department.
