Home intruders shoot, injure woman during Fairburn burglary
Police in Fulton County are investigating a break in that ended in gunfire.
According to Fulton County police, the homeowner heard the intruders breaking into her house on Estonian Drive near Fairbu just before midnight and called 911. They say the woman tried to hide, but the intruders found her and opened fire.
Police say the woman was home alone, and shot several times. She was taken to Atlanta Medical Center, and is reported to be in stable condition.
Fulton County Police Detective Melissa Parker says burglary may have been the reason for the break in, and that some items from the home may have been taken.
The suspects fled the area in a Honda, and police located the vehicle a few miles away. They say the car was stolen. No arrests have been made.
