Gwinnett Police bust meth dealer Roger Smith near preschool
Roger Smith

Gwinnett County police charged a man with possession of methamphetamine and drug related objects just down the street from a preschool.

Police arrested Roger Smith, 38, on Monday at his home on Oakland Drive in Lawrenceville. An officer serving a warrant for a woman inside the home discovered outstanding warrants for Smith as well.

When searching Smith, the officer found a container with a meth pipe and rock in it as well as $1,458 in cash, according to the police report.

Smith lives just around the coer from Fountain Park Academy on Old Norcross Road, which allowed police to charge him with possession of methamphetamine within 1,000 feet of a school.

Smith is being held in the Gwinnett County Jail.
