Georgia Southern Student Philip Christian Found Dead On Spring Break
DESTIN, Fla. -- Officials are investigating the death of a vacationing Georgia Southe University student.
Investigators said friends found 23-year-old Philip Cameron Christian of Augusta, Ga., not breathing shortly after 5 a.m. Sunday. He was staying at a vacation home with 15 Georgia Southe students during spring break.
Christian was taken to the hospital, where he died about 10:30 a.m.
The students told Okaloosa County Sheriff's officials they had party Saturday night and Christian went to bed around 1 a.m. An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday.
