The driver identified as 57-year-old Paul Bruce Osboe from Gainesville has been charged with driving under the influence and first degree vehicular homicide.

According to police, on October 5, Osboue told a Georgia State trooper he had backed some 40 feet into a driveway in the 3500 block of Osboue Road. The driver said he noticed a woman lying on the ground, unconscious, once he exited the vehicle. Officials say the driver tried to revive the woman, identified as Rachel Hull, 53, before calling 911. The woman was transported to a local hospital, where she later died.

The cause of death was described as a ”serious crush to the abdomen area. The investigation is ongoing pending the autopsy report from the Georgia Bureau of Investigations' Crime Lab.
