Fulton Police Investigate Body Found in Dumpster
Fulton County police are investigating the discovery of a body in a dumpster Friday.
The body was found in a dumpster at a garbage disposal facility off Welcome All Road and Roosevelt Highway in south Fulton County.
Police say employees from Advanced Disposal found the man's body -- described as an older black male -- in a dumpster around 8:45 a.m. They were loading a tractor trailer truck to transfer garbage when the body was discovered.
Authorities are trying to determine how the body ended up at the facility.
Officials with Advanced Disposal say 30 garbage trucks from business and municipalities across south Fulton County deliver 400 tons of trash to the facility.
Operations have been suspended so police can get a sense of who the man was and how he died.
