A former master sergeant with the Georgia National Guard will be heading to prison after being convicted of child molestation.

According to arrest records, John Joseph Kinnaman, 41, was taken into custody by the Troup County Sheriff's Office in November and charged with three counts of child molestation involving a relative in 2010 in Cobb County.

Kinnaman faces similar charges in Troup and Franklin counties also, according to a spokesman for the Cobb County District Attoey's office.

Kinnaman served in the 124th Mobile Public Affairs Detachment.

His sentencing is scheduled for Feb. 27.
