boyfriend faces felony murder charges in death of Jessica Wolfe

A former probation officer has been indicted in the shooting death of his girlfriend in Houston County.

The Telegraph of Macon (http://bit.ly/gdfbxh ) reports that 28-year-old Russell Holt is accused of fatally shooting 27-year-old Jessica Wolfe, who worked as a legal assistant for the Houston County District Attoey's Office.

Holt was a probation officer for the Georgia Department of Corrections.

The indictment says Holt was charged with malice murder and felony murder. He was also indicted on one count of aggravated assault and two counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.

Holt claimed that an intruder knocked him unconscious and shot Wolfe inside his home in mid-March.

An autopsy says Holt died from a gunshot wound to the chest.

Holt was fired three days after the shooting.
