A former Fayette County sheriff's deputy is accused of sexual exploitation of children and viewing child poography in his office.

Authorities arrested former deputy Harry "Butch" Parris after an investigation by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.

He's charged with sexual exploitation of children and violation of oath office for allegedly using his office computer to search and view child poography.

Fayette County fired Parris in January.

He's being held in a jail out of Fayette County.

The case could go before a grand jury as early as next month.
