Fleeing motorcyclist survives crash with Cobb cop
The wrecked motorcycle involved in Friday night’s police chase was hauled away.

Luck was on the side of a motorcyclist fleeing police Friday night in Cobb County.

Police told Georgia Newsday that the officer chased the motorcyclist after he ran a stop sign and drove erratically.

By the time the chase that started at Mars Hill and Hill roads in Acworth had ended, the motorcyclist was down and the pursuing officer had run over him, police said.

The unidentified biker was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
