Firefighters Reunite with Baby Delivered in Parking Lot
Cobb County firefighters delivered Vanessa Miller's baby girl in the back of a pickup truck in a Publix parking lot in Powder Springs on October 26, 2010.

COBB COUNTY, Ga. - A Paulding County woman was reunited Thursday with the Cobb County firefighters who helped deliver her baby in a very unusual place. The woman went into labor in the parking lot of a Publix grocery store on October 26, and firefighters were there to help bring her baby girl into the world.

Vanessa Miller was on the way to the hospital when she realized she wasn't going to make it, so she and her mother-- who was driving-- pulled over into a Publix parking lot at Mars Hill Road and Dallas Highway in Powder Springs.   Her mother called 911, and firefighters from Station 13, who were just down the street, quickly came to the rescue.

Miller's baby girl was delivered in the back of a pickup truck just a few minutes later.
