CORNELIA, Ga. (AP) - Georgia's state fire marshal says a blaze that destroyed the fellowship hall of a northeast Georgia church was arson.

State Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner Ralph Hudgens said the Saturday fire happened at the fellowship hall of the Bible Landmark Church in Habersham County. Firefighters were called to the church, on Old Cleveland Road in Coelia, around 6:46 a.m. Saturday.

Hudgens said the structure was a total loss.

He is asking anyone with information about the fire to call the state's Arson Hotline at 1-800-282-5804. Callers can remain anonymous, and rewards of up to $10,000 are given for information leading to the arrest and conviction of an arsonist.
