CARTERSVILLE, Ga. -- Two toddlers are missing after their father picked them up for an unsupervised visit and never retued.

The girls’ mother reported Breanna Smith, 1, and Deshea Smith, 3, missing Tuesday after their father, Ahmad Makahleh, 39, picked the girls up from A Better Way Advocacy Center in Cartersville and never retued.

The girl’s mother, Libby Smith, said the state had temporary custody of the girls since January.

Makahleh was last seen driving a Nissan Altima with Georgia license plate No. BQL 2791.
