Family Arrested For Purse Theft In Peachtree City Walmart
Lichell Hendrix and three her daughters, including 21-year-old Rebekah Hendrix and 17-year-old Emily Hendrix, were arrested on theft charges.

Metro Atlanta police are waing women to keep an eye on their purses after they arrested a mother daughter team that they say tried to steal a woman's purse from a Wal-Mart shopping cart.

Loss Prevention Officers watched as Lichelle Hendrix took a cart that wasn't hers because it contained a purse that police say also wasn't hers.

They say she and her daughters pushed the cart across the store to the dairy section.

"They acted like the purse was theirs, said Lt. Mark Brown of the Peachtree City Police Department. ”They took the purse out of the buggy and they continued to act like the purse belonged to them.

Police say Lichelle Hendrix and three of her daughters were in on the crime. They were all arrested as the left the store. One daughter is just 15. The other two are identified as 21-year-old Rebekah Hendrix and 17-year-old Emily Hendrix. Police say the family is from Newnan.
