Fake Cops Handcuff Residents During Home Invasion

FAYETTE COUNTY, Ga. -- Fayette County sheriff’s deputies are at the scene of a home invasion in Fayetteville, the Sheriff’s Office confirmed to GA Daily News reporter Mike Petchenik.

Residents told investigators that four people came to the house sometime before 9:30 a.m. Friday and claimed to be law enforcement agents.

Authorities said three adults inside the home were placed in handcuffs. The fake cops then stole items from the house, investigators said.

Investigators said the perpetrators had guns, but nobody was injured.

The perpetrators fled in a 4-door white vehicle, but the make and model was not immediately unknown.
