DeKalb County Police are searching for a gunman who opened fire on a former NFL lineman at a car wash in Lithonia.

It happened at the East Gate car wash on Hillandale Road, where witnesses said the victim, identified by DeKalb police as former Oakland Raiders offensive lineman Gerald Perry, was in his SUV with a woman when he got into an argument with another man.

Perry, who police described as an "innocent party," suffered moderate injuries and is in stable condition, according to police. Perry played eight seasons in the NFL with Oakland, the Los Angeles Rams and the Denver Broncos.

Investigators are looking for a blue van that witnesses said the gunman drove away from the scene.
