CARROLL COUNTY, GA  - A man has been arrested after police say, he forced his way into the homes of friends sheltering his estranged wife and shot them

Jonathan Willis, 45, is facing aggravated assault, home invasion and aggravated battery charges after he was accused of forcing his way into the home of Chris and Patty Cas on Hutcheson Ferry Road in Whitesburg around 1:30 a.m. on Sunday

Police say Willis shot Chris Cas five times. He was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital in critical condition. His wife, Patty Cas was also shot and is currently being treated for non-life threatening injury, according to authorities.

The identity of Willis' estranged wife was not released by authorities, but they did say she was not injured in the incident.

Police say Chris Cas is a former Carroll County deputy.
