Dunwoody Day Care Killing Suspect, Wife Separate
Hemy Neuman

ATLANTA -- The man accused of killing a Dunwoody father outside a day care has reached a settlement in the separation case with his estranged wife.

Hemy Nueman is accused of shooting Rusty Sneiderman last November, moments after Sneiderman dropped off his son at preschool.

In March, Neuman’s estranged wife, Ariela, asked a judge to begin separation proceedings to end their marriage of more than 20 years.

According to court documents, the complaint filed by Ariela Nueman accused Hemy Neuman of infidelity and cruel treatment. She also sought custody of the couple’s daughter and alimony.

Ariela Neuman claimed her husband traveled, wined and dined Andrea Sneiderman, Rusty’s wife, who he also supervised at GE.

Ariela Neuman’s lawyer, Esther Pantich, asked DeKalb County prosecutors for criminal evidence from the shooting to prove the affair. She also revealed to Channel 2’s Mike Petchenik that the family has faced financial troubles since Neuman’s arrest, and is behind on mortgage payments.

Pantich told Channel 2’s Mike Petchenik that the settlement will allow her client to access her husband’s assets.

Neuman’s criminal trial is set for October.
