Driver Tased After Hitting Motorcyclist

Police say the driver of a motorcycle was rushed to the hospital and is in critical condition after he was struck by a car along Interstate 285 on Wednesday night.

It happened on I-285 near Riverside Drive in Sandy Springs. Police say the car that hit the motorcyclist kept going more than 100 yards with the bike pinned, badly injuring the motorcyclist.

 

According to officers, it appears the driver was trying to leave the scene of the accident.

Police say the driver of the car became combative with both officers and witnesses, and he was Tased before being taken into custody.
