DeKalb County to announce new fire chief

DECATUR, Ga. (AP) - DeKalb County leaders say they plan to announce the county's new fire and rescue chief next week.

Officials say they're planning a press conference at 10 a.m. Monday to make the announcement. The news conference is planned for DeKalb County Fire and Rescue Headquarters in Tucker.

DeKalb County, one of Georgia's largest counties, includes several of Atlanta's easte suburbs.
