D.A. to seek charges against Atlanta officer Robert Olsen who shot unarmed vet Anthony Hill

The mother of an Afghanistan War veteran shot and killed by a DeKalb County police officer said she was informed Wednesday that the district attoey will seek a criminal indictment against the officer.

Anthony Hill, 27, was naked and unarmed when he was shot and killed by Officer Robert Olsen in March 2015, sparking widespread protest. Last month, a grand jury split on whether charges should be brought against the officer but recommended further investigation.

Following that decision, DeKalb District Attoey Robert James told The AJC he had ”serious conces about the shooting. James has scheduled a press conference Thursday moing to discuss the charges he hopes to bring against Olsen.
