Miley Cyrus has left little to the imagination in a barely there monokini that would make Borat proud.

The swimsuit’s plunging neckline exposes much of her slim figure, and her various tattoos and gold chains accessorise the racy ensemble, the New York Post reports.

The pop star is stripping down to promote her new song We Can’t Stop which was released today. Cyrus posted a series of skimpy self portraits on Twitter in anticipation of the single, including one with giant teddy bear backpack, silver platform heels and not much else. Other images showed Cyrus in 80s-inspired workout gear, riding an exercise bike in a crop top and trainers.

The 20-year-old Party in the USA singer told Ryan Seacrest that the track is "a new Miley - more funky and R&B, pop - it’s infectious. Fans will be surprised and excited."

The singer reportedly has split for good with Australian fiance Liam Hemsworth.
