Covington man Adam Senn-Yuen arrested after scuffle with officers near mall

A Covington man was arrested near North Point Mall after a scuffle with Alpharetta police officers.

Alpharetta police said the incident began with a traffic stop. They said a man was being stopped on North Point Parkway for a traffic violation Tuesday afteoon.

When the responding officer asked for the man’s license, he handed over a passport, police said. They said the man’s license tued out to be suspended, and the officer attempted an arrest, but the man fought back.

Another officer jumped in and used a Taser on the suspect, police said.

"The officer attempted a drive stun with a Taser to subdue the suspect. He couldn't do so because the suspect was continually fighting," said George Gordon with Alpharetta police.

They said he fought both of them, scratching their necks before they were able to get the situation under control. After the man was placed under arrest, officers said they searched his car and found a loaded handgun.

Police identfied the man as 39-year-old Adam Senn-Yuen. He's being held in the Alpharetta City Jail.
