Court Rejects Atlanta's Airport Appeal in Travelex lawsuit
The president of an airport currency exchange business he could lose his contract after serving international customers for seven years.

Georgia's top court has denied an appeal from Atlanta officials in a lengthy fight with a currency exchange company that lost out on a lucrative new contract.

The Georgia Supreme Court's 6-1 decision on Wednesday concluded that the city didn't follow the proper procedure when it sought to block a request by Travelex for documents about its failed bid.

Travelex filed the lawsuit after it lost a bid to provide currency exchange services at the new $1.4 billion inteational terminal at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta Inteational Airport. A judge then blocked the city from awarding a contract to the winning bidder.

Atlanta attoeys waed that producing the documents could lead to delays in the opening of the terminal, which is scheduled for May. The city didn't immediately respond to request for comment.
