Congressman falls for fake news, gets Onion on his face

U.S. Rep. John Fleming (R-La.) couldn't find Facebook's delete button fast enough. He posted (and commented on) an article from the satirical news organization \"The Onion\" and was quickly called out by users who recognized the fake news story about Planned Parenthood's $8 million Abortionplex.

\"How did you get elected?\" one person asked, shortly before the link was deleted. \"We're delighted to hear that Rep. Fleming is a regular reader ... and doesn't bother himself with 'The New York Times,' 'Washington Post' ... or any other lesser joualism outlets,\" said The Onion's editor Joe Randazzo. Fleming may not want to bother himself with Facebook for a while, either.

Have you ever fallen for an Onion story?
