Cobb County police have arrested a man accused of setting off a homemade explosive at an apartment complex pool area.

According to a police report, Derrick Brown set off the device at University Pointe Kennesaw Apartments last Wednesday.

Brown reportedly got away from officers when they tried to arrest him, but was caught a short time later. He's being held at the Cobb County Detention Center.
