CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. -- A mother remains behind bars after police said she drove while extremely drunk with her two small children unrestrained in her car.

Officers said 28-year-old Cierra Baughcum plowed into a picnic area and crashed through a fence before driving the wrong way on a busy highway.

"She just destroyed this picnic table," Rusty White told Channel 2's GA Daily News. White, the maintenance man at The Mill Mobile Home Park in Rex, had his video camera rolling minutes after police said Baughcum drove her red Camaro through the park's picnic area, obliterating two picnic tables, before crashing through a chain-link fence.

"I freaked out. I was like, 'How did she do that?'" White said.

Witnesses say Baughcum then drove the wrong way on Highway 42, which is just outside the mobile home park. They said she quickly drove back into the community where she slammed into the park's office stairs.

"She couldn't even hardly get out of the car," White said.

Clayton County Police said Baughcum was extremely intoxicated. They said her blood alcohol content was .392.

"Oh man. That's pretty high," said Mike Huskey, the mobile home park's manager.

Baughcum's blood alcohol content was nearly 5 times the legal limit of 0.08.

What really troubled people in the mobile home park is the incident happened around 4 p.m., and that Baughcum's 4- and 6-year-old kids were in the car during the entire wild ride.

"They were in the back seat of the vehicle," Sally Huskey said. "No car seats. No booster seats. No seat belts."

Sally Huskey said Baughcum was only conceed with avoiding trouble. "She asked me not to tell police that the kids were not in car seats," she said.

Baughcum faces numerous charges including DUI, reckless driving and child endangerment. She is being held on a $10,500 bond. Baughcum doubted she could come up with the money during a first court appearance. Her children are now staying with relatives.

People who live in the mobile home park are thankful no one was sitting at the picnic tables. And they wonder how Baughcum avoided hitting someone on busy Highway 42.

"I don't know. Miracle I guess," Mike Huskey said.
