Clayton County Sheriff Kem Kembrough Posts Obscene Picture On Facebook
Kem Kembrough

CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. -- A conceed Clayton County citizen sent CBS Atlanta an e-mail with a picture of Sheriff Kem Kembrough flipping the bird.

”This type of picture is not the type of picture the already troubled youth in Clayton County should see of a top elected law enforcement official, the emails stated.

"That's saying F-U," said Barbara Ratterree.

"OH my God that is horrible," said another Clayton County resident.

Most people a CBS Atlanta news crew showed the picture to said they didn't recognize Kembrough, but they recognized the gesture he was making.

"I think it's childish, immature... rude," said Meredith Webb.

"People have a right to take whatever type of picture they want to," said a young man who didn't want to be identified.

When the news crew went to Kembrough's office to ask him the tough questions about his picture, he wouldn't comment about it.

"That's basically an invasion of my privacy, that's the way I look at it," said Kimbrough.

Kimbrough said his Facebook pictures are for his friends only, but when CBS Atlanta reporter Wendy Saltzman sent him a friend request from her station Facebook page, he accepted. She was able to see the picture of him flipping the bird.

"Which is why I'm going to be making a complaint against Wendy Saltzman with your editor for sending me a friend request, under false pretenses. I mean, because that's what she did it for," said Kimbrough.

"What was the false pretense?" asked reporter Tony McNary.

"Because she was investigating a story," answered Kimbrough.

"Did she say anything in the friend request?" asked McNary.

"No, no she didn't," said Kimbrough.

"How is that false pretense?" McNary asked.

"It's what I believe it to be and I'll make that case," said Kimbrough.

"I kinda agree with him. It's his own personal page," said George Wilkins.

"Tell him to be careful about what he puts on his Facebook page. That would be my advice to him because that picture is unacceptable," said Karen Tann.

The conceed citizen who sent CBS Atlanta the picture of Kimbrough said Kimbrough took the picture off his Facebook page and made some negative comments about CBS Atlanta.

We could not verify this because Kimbrough de-friended Saltzman.
