Christmas Snow in North Georgia Sticking Around A Little Longer

BLUE RIDGE, Ga. - The Christmas snow in north Georgia may be sticking around a little longer.

Temperatures are expected to remain just below freezing Monday in Blue Ridge, which received some of Georgia's heaviest snow on Christmas Day.

No counties reported any public school closings on Monday.

Although the snowfall largely stopped on Sunday except for some showers, temperatures are not forecast to get much above the freezing point until Tuesday.

Forecasters waed that roads already wet with ice and snow across Georgia could freeze up again. Columbia County Emergency Director Pam Tucker said her road crews in easte Georgia will be monitoring bridges and putting down salt when necessary.
