Charged After Pizza Woman Robbed

COBB COUNTY, Ga. -- Three people were charged after a pizza delivery woman was robbed on Saturday night, Marietta police said.

The woman arrived at a home on Picketts Bend Court in Marietta at about 8:30 p.m. for a delivery, but the home tued out to be empty, Marietta police spokeswoman Jennifer Murphy said.

When the victim approached the front door, she was ambushed by the suspects, Murphy said. Ryan Pittman, 19, came out of the bushes and began choking her, Murphy said. While he held her down, an unnamed minor and 20-year-old Shadrick ”Jeff Marion grabbed a pizza, a two-liter bottle of Coke and cash, and all three then ran away, Murphy said.

Officers tracked the suspects down and arrested them on Booth Road, Murphy said. All three were charged with strong armed robbery. Pittman was also charged with aggravated assault.

Pittman and Marion were booked into the Cobb County Adult Detention Center. The minor was being held at the Cobb County Youth Detention Center.
