Car crashes into Buckhead restaurant Tin Lizzy’s

A car crashed into a restaurant in Buckhead on Thursday moing, according to the Atlanta Fire Department.

The crash happened at Tin Lizzy’s on Piedmont and Roswell roads, Atlanta Fire Capt. Jolyon Bundrige said.

”She was confused or something, hit the gas, and drove about 40 miles an hour straight into Tin Lizzy’s, witness Justin Grant told Georgia Newsday.

Atlanta police said the driver ruptured a gas line in the crash. Piedmont Road was shut down between Habersham and Roswell roads while crews worked on repairs. Traffic was backed up in the area.

”It is a mess. It’s a busy intersection as it is, and it’s even worse now, said business owner Rabi Patel.

Police said the woman driving the car left the scene, retued and was arrested.
