The Calhoun community is mouing the loss of a 10-year-old boy killed over the weekends in an ATV accident.

Luke Brady Minten was a fourth grade honor student at Calhoun Elementary School who loved the outdoors. Gordon County deputies said he was out enjoying the outdoors on Sunday, riding an ATV with adults near North Tate Bend Road when the vehicle overtued. Minten was rushed to Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga where he later died.

Funeral services will be held at the First Baptist Church of Calhoun at Wednesday at 3 p.m. Family will receive friends at the church from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday.

Minten's family is asking people to donated blood through their local American Red Cross in Luke's memory.
